VOLUNTEER WORK FOR TEENS

There are an abundance of volunteer work for teens.  Ask everyone you know if they know of any.  Ask at your school counselor, at your local church, or look in the phone book under organizations.  Give them a call. If you are of working age, have your social security card, the first thing you should do is make yourself a resume.  If you haven't had a job before, add to your resume what you are interested in, what schools you attended and the classes you liked most.  Write a short two paragraph story about yourself.  Don't forget to add names, addresses, and phone number for yourself and contacts.  Dress nicely and walk in with your head held high and tell them you would like to apply for a job.  Ask them what is available and they will give you an application to fill out.

If you're an early riser, ask for hours that are early in the day.  If you can't seem to drag yourself out of the bed in the morning, apply for a later shift.  No sense setting yourself up for failure by saying you will there and then not showing up and losing your very first job.  Every business is looking for and needing dependable employees.
You can bet there will be a lot of teens going to the malls to apply.  Try other business' maybe close to home so you don't have to use your hard earned money for gas getting to and from work.
A lot of landscapers and construction companies hire teens.  Nurseries usually have a lot of plants to transplant etc.  And most pre-schools and child cares need help.
If you like to work out in the fresh air, call tree trimmers.  Or buy yourself a lawn mower and weed eater and start your own business.
If you have a truck or trailer place ads to haul anything.  Many people buy furniture and have no way to get it home or have items around the house that need to be hauled to the junk yard.  Another business you can start on your own!
Are you artistic?  Ask business' if they would like you to paint a mural on the side of their building or on their windows.
Maybe you're a writer.  What about writing your own book about teens or anything you're interested in.  Or contact the newspapers in your area and ask them if you could write an article for teens.  And there are always publications you can send your stories into.  Some pay, some don't.

Volunteer work for teens can be indoors or outdoors depending upon your preference.  And it's a lot more fun having a job that you believe in or feel good about doing.  And it sure doesn't hurt to make an effort towards it being a positive effort.
