SWMOA may help with the basic needs of seniors age 60 and older, and their caregivers.  They can, also, help people find out what other sources of assistance are available.  

INDEPENDENT CARE PROVIDERS

You can hire someone to provide care and to perform a variety of non-medical services.  One good way to find independent care providers is from friends, your church or other support groups.  You will be responsible for checking references and finding a replacement if the person cannot come to work.  The following agencies maintain a list of those who provide these services:

OBTAINING A DEATH CERTIFICATE     To settle the estate, you will need a copy of the deceased's death certificate.  To settle the estate, you will need a copy of the deceased's death certificate.  The funeral director usually fills out the certificate, then forwards it to the doctor or county coroner, who will send it to the Greene County Health Department.  It will be forwarded to the State of Missouri, Bureau of Vital Records in Jefferson City.  You can, usually, order a copy of the death certificate from the Greene County Health Department or by writing to:

SAFE DEPOSIT BOXES      When a person dies who has a safe deposit box, the financial institution where the box is located is required to open the box at the request of interested parties.
