BRANSON MO LOW INCOME HOUSING Branson, or should I say, the Tri-Lakes area is no different than any area anywhere in the United States. There is a shortage and no matter how many apartments they build, there is always a waiting list. You really have to stay on top of things to get into low income housing, but it is worth it to pay less in rent. NOTE: PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS PASSED A NEW LAW TO HELP THOSE WHO NEED LOW INCOME HOUSING. ANYONE BUILDING APARTMENTS, CONDOS OR DUPLEXES CAN GET A VERY LARGE GRANT IF THEY MAKE SO MANY OF THOSE BUILT AVAILABLE TO LOW INCOME. THIS IS THE BREAK THOSE OF LOW INCOME HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. IT MEANS BEING ABLE TO LIVE IN NICER AREAS AND STILL PAY LOW RENT. cALL PLANNING AND ZONING AND SEE IF THEY HAVE A LIST OF THOSE BEING BUILT OR JUST OPENED. There have been new apartments built by K-Mart on Hwy 248. They are beautiful and close to shopping. There is Lost Tree Apartments (417)-335-3936 right off Hwy 65, north of Branson, the Housing Authority in Branson (417)-334-4236, Forsythe Senior Housing (417) 581-0200, and in Reeds Spring (417)-272-8684 which is Town and Country Propane but they handle the apartments, and in Crane (417)-581-0200 for seniors. In fact, there are new apartments being built in Reeds Spring right behind Stone County Bank. In Branson West there is Valleyview Estates (417)-272-9250. You might PUT A FREE CLASSIFIED AD ON THIS WEBSITE FOR HOUSING by sending me the information to pelican4@centurytel.net and I'll post it for you. Whether you have a house for sale or some other item, apartment for rent, or you are looking for housing, an ad can help you find what you want. There are a lot of options for you to find inexpensive housing and for those that have housing to find one another. With the economy there are more and more people who want to sell but can't. They have now decided to "owner finance" or "rent to own". Place an ad and see if anyone replies. You just might find what you are looking for. Branson MO low income housing is a very difficult situation no matter where you live, but due to other hardships, such as low pay or not as many full time jobs, it is even more difficult. Through the past ten years there have been a lot of changes in the area bringing even more tourism and more jobs. So many people live in the outlying areas and transportation is a problem. If you don’t have a dependable vehicle, it can cause you to lose a job and not be able to get to the places you need to go. Often relatives, friends and neighbors can pitch in to help you out. But, outside the Branson city limits lies housing in the woods or in the smaller towns. Some are near the lake. There are many seniors who would like to stay in their homes and will rent out a room to someone in exchange for helping them around the house. Contact the senior centers or put an ad in the newspapers and online at www.hwy-13.com (free) and of course on my website on the free classifieds page www.freehelpbranson.com/free classifieds. Just send your ad to me at pelican4@ centurytel.netand I’ll post it for you. Also, consider signing up for HUD housing by calling Springfield's office (417) 864-3444. There is definitely a waiting list but once you have your voucher you can start looking for a place to live. Depending on your income, you will pay a very small amount of rent and HUD will pay the rest. Branson low income housing is a tough situation even for those on HUD. It's up to you to find a place to live. And contact Barbara Booth at Stone County Housing bbooth@galenacityhall.org and for Branson MO low income housing.
